Meet Dr. Bonvino!
Trudy Bonvino, DDS, MS
The long road to becoming an orthodontist started with Dr. Bonvino attending the University of
Minnesota. There she received her Bachelor degree from the College of Biological Science. During
her studies at the U of M Dr. Bonvino received several honors, including two undergraduate
research opportunities award, the Pierre Fauchard Award for clinical excellence and the American
Cancer Society Award.
After earning her Bachelor, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 1992. She then went on to even more schooling to complete her residency in clinical orthodontics and earned her Master Degree in 1994. Dr. Bonvino has enjoyed enhancing the smiles of patients in the twin cities ever since.
In an effort to keep up with the ever changing world of technology
and great advances in orthodontic care, Dr. Bonvino regularly
attends numerous training and educational seminars. She is also an
active member of several organizations, including:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- Midwest Society of Orthodontists
- American Dental Association
- Executive Committee of the Minneapolis District Dental Society
- Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental society
Dr. Bonvino is committed to serving the community in which she practices. She and the staff of Cosmopolitan Orthodontics provide educational programs for area schools and support numerous local teams and clubs. We take pride in being part of our patient's community and lives!
During her free time Dr. Bonvino can be found cheering on her two children, Alexandra and Matthew, in their various activities, or supporting the hockey team coached by her husband, Chris.
She also enjoys fitness training and is an avid gardener.
